1Will there be anyone to meet me at the airport?
There will be a member of staff from our company to pick you up from the airport then take you to the hotel.
2What happens if I get sick?
If you get sick, we can take you to the hospital if needed.
Our company’ s insurance will cover you,when your medical expenses are more than 1800 Yuan in a year, 70 % of the exceeding amount will be reimbursed. This 1800 Yuan is an accumulative total of doctor’s/ hospital bills during the year. At the beginning of each (calendar) year the amount will be put back to zero. ( When you arrive here, you can consult the related staff member for further information.
3Who pays for my flight?
At the end of the contract,the company will give you allowance in the name of a bonus,10,000 RMB .
4How will I get my visa?
After you confirm our offer and provide required documents, We will send you all necessary papers needed to obtain a visa. You need to take these papers, along with your passport, application form and any other documents needed (please check with your nearest Chinese embassy) to the Chinese embassy or consulate to apply for Z visa.
5Where should I live upon my arrival?
In the first week, we will arrange a one week free hotel for new teachers stay.During this period we will assist new teachers in the search for a suitable living arrangement.
6What are my working hours?
20-25 teaching lessons per week from Monday to Friday during the daytime only. No office hours. The average number of lessons daily is 4-5 ( each lesson 40-45 minutes).
7I can’t speak Chinese, is that a problem?
You can teach in China without knowing how to speak Chinese. Students are expected to get immersed in English during class, so speaking Chinese is actually discouraged in class. In Kindergarten and primary school, usually there is a Chinese teaching assistant to help translating and giving instructions.
On the other hand, the company provides free Chinese lessons once a week.
8Will I have enough money to support myself?
Teachers generally find that their salary gives them a purchasing power in China that is much stronger than in their home country. It's possible to live comfortably and save half your salary.
9Will the school provide material and what are the teaching equipment in the classroom?
The school will provide teachers with teaching material and the classroom will be equipped with projector, computer, blackboard,etc.
10What kind of holidays I will enjoy and will I get paid for the holidays?
You will enjoy all the Chinese official holidays such as the Tomb holiday, Labor holiday, Dragon Boat festival, Mid-Autumn day, National day and the New Year holiday with full pay. Also two months’ summer vacation (July and August) and one month winter vacation (usually from the end of Jan to the end of Feb).
For foreign teachers, there will be a two days off with pay for Christmas Day( on 24th and 25th December)
11How can I open my bank account and phone account? Will anyone help me?
We will assist you with opening your bank account in China and getting a Chinese phone number for you.
